Christmas is just around the corner, unlike the previous years, I didn't write up the usual long Christmas letter to our friends and relatives coz. I’ve spent all my energy in learning, teaching and choreographing line dance. Drop us a line when you have time.

BEAUTY OF LINE DANCING

I keep telling my dance friends and students that ‘the beauty of line dance’ - is that you dance with people at more or less the same level and to enjoy the music. If you forget the steps, watch your dance mates. When your dance mates forget, they watch you. Don’t get jealous if someone dances better than you do, just ‘dance’ harder.

SIGH too bad some dance people have been dancing for that many years and still don't get the beauty ..........so ugly, in and out.....

Stop Dance Battle Me, I'm not interested

SEXY OREO - I still remember sometime in March this year 2008, I went to Winnie's party at Bayview Hill Community Centre. Winnie went to a function and came to the party very late. While she wasn't there, the floor played 'sexy oreo'. I danced at 9:00 wall as usual. The sie jie 'big mouth fly' came over and danced next to me.I was quite surprised. You can tell whether 'the one who dances next to you is your friend or your enemy'. I had no clue why she danced so close to me. Of course, with my dance experience, I might have screwed up a few steps but wouldn't be bothered much. Since then, she started to treat me badly.

There was an incident this Tuesday when I was in Winnie’s class, don't border to repeat the story again;
JUST ONCE THE CAMERA STARTED, the 'big mouth fly' came up stood between my instructor, Winnie and me so as to block me and I won't be in the camera, that was so embarrassing even that wasn't my fault, I really really feel bad for her,
the whole scene was so ugly……

I recorded Sexy Oreo and a few clips including my new dance, will be posted up in youtube sometime after x'mas.

New Dance - coming up

i've done the steps for my new dance this afternoon, then finished the draft while my kids were doing the martial art - yap,
chinese kung fu......people saw me moving my feet and head up to think while i was waiting, guess they think this woman must be crazy :P

as i said before, i'll cap one dance in a month, still a lot of time to tape and write up the script. stay tuned.

My dance - EDEN

Since i posted up Eden in YouTube, i've received compliments and requests for script of the dance. one is interesting, by the permission from the writer, who is flying over to Maui from Oahu for a Xmas line dance party for all the classes connected; would like to share with you a few line of her email :
Will it be okay to share your dance with them? I will let them know what the name of the dance is so they can look it up and retrieve the step sheet. Would you happen to have other creations that could be enjoyed by these classes? If you could guide me to those I will be glad to expose the dances to Maui as well as here on Oahu with some of the instructors.

i'm sick

SICK - i caught cold for a few days, taking Advil, Chinese medicine, tried everything to cure the cold. had been struggled the whole afternoon whether i should go to my instructor, Winnie's line dance party tonite; haha, sure you know the answer without looking the rest, yes, i went, SIGH, too big temptation, couldn't resist it; even i had no time to review the dances on the list but i went, good to see dance friends, left early BUT i danced. sweet so sweet
SICK - of the 'sie jai', she bad mouth on me again, even though that's expected; SIGH, big mouth sie jai, you are so hatred. i'm not lucky like you, i got FAMILY to take care of, i got husband and 2 kids, not like you; wish i was the stepmother of snow white, know how to make the poison apple, will send her one with 'Express Courier'.
well well, time to dream at bed, will teach tomorrow morning.

Not many dances out to the World famous singer Sarah Brightman.. and Regina Cheung has certainly chose a piece of music that makes you realise why. Its different…. Its also a difficult piece to create a dance from. but Regina has created a dance that not only is really 'silky smooth’ – I had to keep reminding myself it was not ‘slo-mo’ – but it is also quite easy to learn and teach. I reckon we could be hearing this Sarah Brightman track on a regular basis on the dance floor…. But at the end of the day – its your choice… so give it a looksee.

what's wrong with holding the step sheet in teaching to keep the accuracy ?? what's wrong that I learn the step sheet myself then teach my students ??
SIE JIE - you are very rare - HARD TO FIND ANYONE WHO HAVE SUCH GOOD MEMORY BUT NO BRAIN LIKE YOU, you are so well known in memorizing dances even the old dances but have no brain no judgment, keep trying, keep bullying others !!

Exhausted

oh my, that was soooo tired.
yesterday (Tuesday), i taught a lesson in the morning, recorded several versions of my new dance. i went to my instructor Winnie's lesson right after, i was tired at the later part of the lesson and danced badly in 'coffee club' and that gave the 'big mouth Sie Jie' a chance ridiculed me again, it's alright, i couldn't even move. then i went back home, uploaded my clips, spent several hours in computer, did the dinner for the kids & tony. headed out for the last lesson at nite. mamamia, i got sore body when i drove back home.
heehee, i had the isolations, not those in hip hop - physically, i was so sore & tired (it almost happen every tuesday), mentally, i felt so sweet coz. i got to dance whole day long, taught 'born 2 dance' and my students like it, also my new dance in the final stage.

PARFUMS

I’ve been using 'Jean Paul Gaultier' perfume over 16 years since I bought my 1st bottle from their flagship in Paris; before then I was using 'bijon' also from their boutique in New York. For those who were my friends and didn't feel bad about 'my fragrance' but now not my friends anymore and complain my perfume; I would suggest you to visit your doctor to check either you nose, nerve or your brain - which part goes wrong
OR you are totally wrong.
I have no offense if you don't like my perfume, I wear it everyday anyway, quote my tee shirt in the pic 'don't stand so close to me',

Preview - Sunday class 11/23

Man Chang Fei - I got feedbacks from several students, some already know the steps but want to practice more and a few haven’t pick up all the steps yet, I will review this dance.
Set on you - I taught last Sunday which was so fun; I will also do the review.

News Update

Since I started to teach line dance, I link most of the dance matters together, which is quite impressive to myself, and thank you for your support to view and follow my links.

For now, my biggest happiness is all about line dancing -
attending my instructor's lessons to pick up new dances;

teaching my students, I am so delighted to see the progress of my students, most of them were beginners, up now they are doing a lot better, bear in mind - dance like martial art, it takes time, learn, and practice makes perfect, so, you and I have to be patient, in fact, I am very proud of my students joined my party and danced all those 'baby dances', hurayyyyyy;

Choreography - I’m working on a new dance, the step sheet has been completed for awhile, but the difficult part is the clip, I can only get my student/official photographer - Alfred Lee to record me every time after the class and I’m always on the run, it is impossible to be flawless, and I always think I can dance better each time after I recorded, anyway, no rush, the dance won't be released until next month - 'perfectionism’.

something want to share with you

hello my friends, since my friend, Amy of In Beauty Spa suggested me to teach line dance in their spa; and introduced Shirley of Wanna Dance Studio to me. there were a lot of happenings, from upset, sad, anger, struggle to .......

with the support of Amy, i started my own line dance teaching, recruiting students, participated in the Red Maple dance event, identified only 3 persons hate me a lot but there are many friends recognize me, learning how to choreograph dances, making new dance friends; and last, knowing the facts that even i don't do anything, someone still make up something and accuse me which i've never done before. it's over, the respect is over, and I don’t think I should/will stand them any more :

'since they hate me so much and be unhappy, why should i share their unhappiness, those are their problems, not mine.

compared to some others who are having financial difficulties, close relatives passing away, families' problems, serious illness, mine are so minimal, i thank god giving me these kind of troubles instead of big ones. yes, i know, very ‘ah Q’ spirit.'

I'm feeling good, thanks to the support of everyone. it is hard to generate the number of students, come and go, increasing and decreasing; but I gain respect, happiness and courage from them, I’m looking forward in every lesson to meeting my students and dance with them. LOL, love ya.

APPRECIATION

Million thanks to the YouTube viewers and my line dance instructor/friends/students, my 3rd dance ʽwomanizerʼ had over 1,400 hits and my babyish dance - 'move shake and drop' hits over 2,300. As I said before, despite the relatively small numbers, Iʼm really happy though.

This time, I got a lot of feedback for my new dance from different countries via emails and comments on YouTube, and subscribing to my account. They are very encouraging. Special thanks to Mike, account name ʽmetal tiggerʼ on YouTube who assisted me in uploading the video onto linedancermagazine. Truly appreciated.

Again, thanks to my friends, Amy and Kate, the founders of In Beauty Spa who helped me launch my line dance career and continues to support my 'beauty' and line dancing.

Weekly Fool

A round of applause for my level I+ students who danced 'weekly fool' with me; also who recorded the dance, Merci. I can never gather all the students to attend in the same week so i gave up, just took whoever were there; if you were absent, will do other dances later.

i hope you all had a happy halloween ! yes, i did. bad rumors happened on me and made me upset for a few days, same old story; quote my 10 years old girl 'they hate you because they jealous you', oh yeah, thank you, thanks for reminding me :D
my husband took the kids and their friends out to do the trick or treat last nite, after settled for dinner, i went to a halloween party to meet my dance students and friends, one of the dances was 'man chang fei', click this title which linked to the vid, it is short - same story, no battery, no memory dadada; i also danced my instructor, winnie's dance 'monica', haha, i felt like a star - i danced freely, people followed me and danced behind me, they all love it but i got no time to teach at the party, will teach them later. after all, i'm happy again, truly happy, because i danced. GOSSIPING TARGET

life is so hard, I just mind my own business and do my own things, which I like and enjoy a lot in learning and teaching line dancing, taking care of my family. I thought they don’t bother others at all.
As expected, I became the gossip target again. Some of my real friends and I keep saying, "Ignore them. They don't deserve the time. What I need is the love of my family, the support of my instructor and appreciation of my students"…….But let me tell you, it hurts. Why don't those line dancers spend their time in line dancing, mind their own 'hot damn (a song's name)' business ? Don’t they have anything better to do ???? SIGH, i'm down down down on the ground, OK, i'll be back ....

TRIPLETS - Womanizer

mamamia, my new dance became one of the triplets. 'womanizer’ by Britney spears, i got the song 3 weeks ago, i choreographed the dance and had the draft; then the 1st one came out last weekend; I thought OK, I’ll keep doing it since I made the draft already; I then uploaded the draft in YouTube; then another womanizer came out too. can’t believe the dance became triplets; like my mom, yes, she’s one of the triplets. See the pix ...... :D

Dance Taught - Weekly Fool

I learnt the dance 3 months ago, so happened, it's not that popular but I still like it; you can add a lot of attitude and the steps are easy. I taught it in 2 classes last weekend and most students think it is 'fun'. Great. HAPPY DANCING !!

Hi There

hello my friends, just to say hi to you. i've been busy these days - went to Ming Pao's 15th anniversary gala 2 days ago; tony went for a short business trip in Orlando, will be back this sunday afternoon; learning and teaching line dance; will go to my instructor, Winnie's party tomorrow (Saturday) nite. she hosts the party once a month + occasions; i missed the september one coz. i went to PJ's party. the party place is in bayviewhill community centre, the best location for line dancing with huge and good floor. also meet some friends that we don't see a lot but parties. looking forward my students to learn more dances so they will go with me to my teacher's party. my students, don't get panic, relax, and take your time, some day, one day.....

PJ's wedding

we went to PJ Caletti's wedding 2 weeks' ago, had lots of fun.
Tips of the day : learn and remember your beginners dance steps, when you do the dance in the party, just suit in the steps for the music, like cowgirls' twist for twist/jive; steps from elevators, rock this party; even cupid shuffle, if you don't remember some of the steps, walk forward/backward or sides, then people will think you are cool......hahaha ;-)

First, I am profoundly thankful to my line dance instructor, WINNIE YU. She has been a continuing and cherished source of support. Apart from teaching me to dance, she also teaches me how to be a good dance teacher, how to deal with people, and many more. Missy, I wish you all the best.

rc - Regina Cheung. I’ve been using ‘rc’ as the first initial of all my businesses. Linedance is my most favorite hobby. My girl drew me this picture in November last year when I told her I needed a logo for my dance matters. I then put both together to start my line dance career.
