My Line Dance Party

My dear dance students/friends

Thanks for joining my party yesterday. We had great time and fun; it was an all-level line dance party. We started from 6:45 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. We did a total of 47 dances with walk through and counts before the dance.

When my students & friends requested me to arrange a line dance party, we just made up a day on 7/26. During my vacation in Vancouver, then I thought of something - it was such a coincidence, I started teaching line dance in
In Beauty Spa sometime in April last year, the students increased and I had to rent a bigger place in Time Square; July 26, 2008 was the official first day that I rented a place to teach line dance, so I would say last nite was my 'Line Dance Anniversary Party'; can't believe it's been a year,
let me tell ya, it's not easy though, like battling on my own.

I’ve received several feedbacks of the party; glad that the dancers enjoyed the party and said they’ll join in my next party. funny that one of my beginner students asked me how come i have to check out the beginners' dance but remember all the advance dances without a peep; heehee, i have a special system for advance dances, but beginners are too confusing for me.

In this year, I learnt so much in line dancing, from learning, practicing, teaching, choreographing, dealing with dancers and students, bad and good but all precious, will keep on line dancing with your support.

hi there, busy busy, with all the happenings, learning, teaching, taking kids to doctors' office for check up, dadadada ......

keep saying have to review the dances on the party list, non done, lazy lazy, i'll be ok, hope to see you in my party; i used to have parties combined with shirley lo, the studio owner with 3 line dance & 2 ballroom in 1 section; this time will be only line dance in all levels; shirley and her line dance friends have to go to the singing teacher, Daniel Chan's 60th birthday party (HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIEL LO SIE) and are unable to join me this time.

it will be a happy gathering with my students and my line dance friends.

BMF - DRESS TO KILL

last Saturday party, BMF - Bad mouth fly, she is mid 50’s and wore tube top with bare back shinny silver vest with a temporary tattoo on her back , exactly looked like an OLD prostitute.

i was a bit stress out last week, after studied the new dances myself and reviewed the dances on the list; i went to the party, that was OK lah. i was late to the party and once i started my first dance, she yielded from her microphone to our side 'why that side was so massy', oh yeah, could be, so what ??? huh ??

after we danced reach out, she said 'ha, i'm so 'cool' even i dance casually, SIGH, no matter you are pretty, cool, smart, talented etc. etc. should be quoted by others to you but not you quote yourself pretty, cool dadadada .....

am i talking too much about her, could be, sorry i don't have much to write if i don't write her, my life is quite flat & stable; you may or may not know who is she but over 85% dancers know her; one of my students never danced in our group and asked me, who is she, i told her and couldn't believe she said 'oh, i know her, when i went to workshop, she yielded out the cue and people stared at her, she also criticized my very experienced and qualified instructor's beats were fast in fact her beats were terribly fast'; thank you my dear, you pointed out most of her characters in only 2 sentences and that is her few tricks to insult other dancers ......

oh well, too much about her today, party list is final for my line dance party this sunday (7/26), which is all levels, walk through will be performed for beginners & intermediate levels; lots of new dances for high level i.e. strobe lights, reach out, magic, roomba, coochie bang bang, games people play, and many more

i don't party out except my instructor's party but i don't know who is and who is not the students of BMF & her friend, so dare not to approach too many dancers, please email me if you are interested, will email you the party list ...... =)

i'm outdated

I was really busy in the Vancouver trip and didn't study any dance; I went to parties before the vacation and thought I was safe to know all the ‘new dances’, then I came back and realized I missed at least 10 dances and became so ‘out’

SIGH I studied most of the new dances myself and followed in the advance class, least the BMF won’t laugh at me or tongue out to me. SIGN. i love line dancing but it's so stressful in learning practicing & teaching, oh, and parties, and family's, i even have no chance to talk to my friends via emails

i will go to my instructor, winnie yu's party tonite, have to review the new dances and the 70+ dances on the list, I’ll be dead. tony wasn't happy last nite when i told him i will go party. VERY STRESSFUL, after all, i have to quit at least 1 for now, guess what will i quit ??

my vacation in vancouver - eat, eat, eat

we've spent 7 days in vancouver, the main purpose was to attend simon (tony's cousin) & his wife victoria wedding banquet on july 4 (saturday); that was a beautiful banquet with very yummy food, victoria was so pretty, looked like a movie star

we kept eating from day 1 the dim sum lunch to the last day, also dim sun lunch, never disappointed with all the good food, only 1 concern border me, i would gain lots of weight after the trip ;P

too much food, can only highlight a few of them :

- japanese noodles in the food court in aberdeen centre, believe it or not, even the noodles are yummier than the food court here, =(, ate a lot;
- port jerky, yesssss, i eat the pork jerky from bee kim heng only, all my vancouver friends & relatives know that they have to buy me the pork jerky from the same store or i don't see them ;D
- a tiny japanese restaurant in downtown, it's different from the traditional japanese restaurant, it's still traditional, but serves in small dishes, a bit like chinese dim sum, they have the hand written manual and change from time to time for the seasonal and fresh food; and the price was good

sorry to write so much about the food, personal opinion, i found people in vancouver spend a lot of money in eating & living, but don't care much in clothing .... ?? i shopped a bit but didn't find too interesting, and still bought some tees & jeans ^_^

btw, the hotel we rented was riverrock casino resort, a suite with king size bed & sofa bed, very nice & clean. highly recommended =)

just read their weekly survey ending 7/12/09 tonite, and found out that my 4th dance was chosen in the survey; the first one was womanizer, then move shake and drop, then give me 1 reason, now the no.4 – Eden.

With that many dances being made everyday, I don't know who pick the dance and who vote for the dance. However, it's truly my honour to be one of the choreographers.

To be a ‘no name’ choreographer, it is hard to be recognized and accepted and the dances received around the line dance world. I don’t know how much longer I can hold on to my line dance dream; since some time ago I was so pissed off with the BMF – bad mouth fly, then I stopped my choreography and focused on learning, practicing & teaching the new dances, and I am very happy with the outcome of my hard work.

I’m working on my upcoming party, SIGH, so much work, some people can dance on this day but not the other, the other group can’t do this and that, dadadada, anyway, will confirm the date in due course

hi dear, just to say 'hello' to you from vancouver, i've been here since last friday, will be back to toronto in 2 days from now, will update when i'm back, ciao =)

TOOTH FAIRY

do you believe in tooth fairy ? when tooth comes off, you put it in the tooth chest, and the fairy will give you a lucky coin

one time, jon jon had a tooth fell off, he put it in the little chest besides his bed then 2 or 3 nites, i forgot to put the money in, then he said 'mommy, i must be too late to bed, the tooth fairy didn't come' i said yes, my dear, they stop working after 12:00, you should go to bed earlier, i then made sure myself put in the coin that nite =)

another time, Stefi fell off her tooth in mexico, i thought that was cute to put in the peso as the lucky coin ??

last week, i drove kids to do shopping, both chit chatted at the back of the car (i love to listen to their conversation, always funny); jon jon said he makes $9 so far for all his baby teeth, Stefi said '$9, my gosh, my fairy was cheap, she gave me peso - Cad. 5 cents, WHAT A CHEAP FAIRY.......'

I became the 'CHEAP FAIRY'.... next time i'll give a gold coin to make them happy, yeah right, gold coin, not a chance, i collect them but not to give away for a TEETH ..... me, cheap fairy
